Duration: Instantaneous; the target is bound for 30 days or until the underlying dispute is resolved

Choose one creature or organization within range. Make a ranged attack against their Solvency; on a hit, the target must immediately halt the specific action you named at the time of casting or begin accumulating legal exposure equal to 2d6 per day the action continues.

This spell deals no damage on its own — it is a threat, not a strike — but a target who calls your bluff by continuing the named action anyway forces you to follow through with actual litigation or lose all credibility for future castings of this spell against the same target. A target may respond immediately with Indemnification if they believe the underlying claim is meritless.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you may name an additional specific action to halt, and the accumulating exposure increases to 3d6 per day.
