Casting Time: Instantaneous, though it is never actually cast on purpose — it is a standing condition of any matrixed reporting structure
Range/Area: Self, one creature with more than one reporting line
Components: V, S (two or more conflicting sets of direction, each issued in good faith)
Duration: Until the creature’s reporting structure is un-matrixed, which no Reorg on record has ever actually accomplished
Classes: Functional Manager, Product Manager, Anyone With Two Bosses

Choose one creature with more than one direct manager. Each manager may independently issue the creature a directive requiring its compliance; if two or more directives conflict, the creature must choose which to honor, and automatically fails to satisfy every manager who did not receive priority.

No saving throw is available to the affected creature, since no single creature holds the authority to resolve the conflict — resolving it would require the two managers to coordinate directly, an action this spell’s environment does not support.

At Higher Levels. This spell does not become more effective when cast using a higher-level slot; adding a third manager does not create three times the clarity.
