You conjure one full-time employee, filling an open budget line. The Headcount Approval check is made with advantage if backed by attrition, a clear backfill justification, or an executive champion, and with disadvantage otherwise. Unlike a Contractor, a conjured employee gains full access to your organization’s systems, benefits, and institutional knowledge over a 90-day Onboarding period, during which it operates at disadvantage.

The 1-action casting time listed above is rarely accurate in practice: the Headcount Approval check typically takes between 4 and 12 additional weeks to resolve, during which your team continues operating without the conjured employee.

This spell automatically fails, with no component refunded, if a Hiring Freeze is in effect at the time of casting.

At Higher Levels. When cast using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you conjure one additional employee for each slot level above 3rd, each independently requiring its own Headcount Approval check and Onboarding period.
